Prof. Dr. Najib ul Haq
It gives me immense pleasure and honour to be patron in chief of , Pakistan Society of Gastroenterology and G.I Endoscopy Congress 2020, commencing at PC Hotel, Peshawar, Pakistan.
PSG and G.I Endoscopy has come a long way since its first meeting at Karachi in 1984, with its limited membership, which is now touching the figure of 1500. I profoundly thank the organizing committee as well as the scientific committee, for putting together an exciting scientific and social program for the congress.
The society has highlighted issues of national importance, and appraised the Government of a myriad of G.I. problems, issues of national importance in the medical arena in dealing with these problems and making policies in the health care. Organ transplant ordinance is culmination of one such effort. This congress will address more of these issues faced by the public at large. This congress has also promised an elaborate Endoscopy workshop which has always been hallmark of the PGS and G.I. Endoscopy Society. Young doctor in training and practice as well old stalwarts all benefit from these live workshops, with the international faculty in action alongside the Pakistani experts.
It always is a great opportunity for the young researchers to report and express themselves on this forum; there is assured ample opportunity in this congress. I wish all the delegates local as well as foreign, an exciting, interactive congress and a very pleasant stay at the PC Hotel, Peshawar, Pakistan.
I cordialy wellcom all speakers from all over the worlds and local ones.
